CSP is introducing File Integrity Checker as a part of a new product - Compliance Reporting Module (CRM). FIC is a comprehensive file integrity monitor which detects any changes to critical files indicating potential intrusion attempts. The security administrator has an opportunity to create a list of critical files, which need to be monitored. The files selected are given a unique fingerprint and placed in a database. These files are monitored to verify whether unauthorized changes have been made. Reports can be scheduled as required to confirm no changes have occurred. If changes have occurred, alerts can be generated to notify the administrator and trigger further escalation or recovery actions. The File Integrity Checker helps customers meet the requirements of the PCI DSS regulation 11.5 on Nonstop Guardian and OSS files. CSP would like to help your organization meet its audit requirements. A key feature of this release is a new Audit Data Extract function. The EXTRACT command allows the user to select data and to extract to a comma separated list, providing more flexibility in creating your own customized reports for analysis, sorting and grouping of fields. CSP attends SUNTUG Sunshine, hot weather and lots of NonStop users, SUNTUG organized a great event again this year with several member presentations, a product update from HP and an update on Connect activities, it was a very full day. The event was well attended by Nonstop customers, HP and software vendors. As a vendor for NonStop security software products and sponsor of VNUG, CSP delivered a presentation describing how data breaches have affected organizations across different industries. In most cases, severe financial damage has been experienced due to the fact that data breaches have not been detected in a timely manner resulting into large amounts of data being stolen or abused.
With great pleasure CSP will be attending the annual GTUG/Connect User Group 2009. The event will take place November 18th-November 20th, 2009 in the Darmstadtium Conference Center in Darmstadt, Germany.
