Network Support Analyst

Requirements:

Extensive hands-on technical knowledge of network systems, protocols and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN and TCP/IP.
Hardware, software, and network connection troubleshooting experience.
Skilled at installing/configuring hubs, switches, routers, bridges, firewalls, etc.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Works well with minimal supervision.
Takes initiative.
Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Website Proficient.
Excellent with graphics.
Microsoft Certified.

Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/2000, Server 2003 and later.
Exposure to larger scale serveres (especially NonStop).
Expertise with network protocols TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP configurations in desktop.
Good understanding of Active Directory, local group policies and account management.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Exchange.
A+, MCP or MCSE certification desired.

Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company network and dedicated computer room of apprximately 500 Sq Ft. Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly backups. Prepare disaster recovery plan and test restore and recovery procedures regularly.
Monitor system capacity to determine its affect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands. Identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks. Make recommendations to management for new hardware or software acquisitions.
Install and configure all network hardware and equipment including routers, switches, hubs, firewalls and all other LAN related equipment.
Ensure network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure.
Experience in website marketing i.e. newsletters, is essential. The potential candidate must have a portfolio.
