This year's event was a celebration of 30 years of Tandem/Nonstop presence in the UK. Presentations were made by the Standish group highlighting TCO on Nonstop Blades and HP on update and roadmap of Nonstop and performance management as well as a presentation on user experiences. CSP participated as an exhibitor. A key subject during the discussions was managing Nonstop security in line with PCI requirements.
Community Connect 2008

CTUG Fall Conference

It was our pleasure to participate in the CTUG annual conference again this year. The CTUG organization did an excellent job once again and HP provided their beautiful Mississauga offices for the event. Our vendor presentation included a review of current security trends and details on two new and exciting products from CSP. The Protect UX and NIMS products will help customers meet their demanding security requirements in the Nonstop environment
Viking Nonstop User Group – VNUG 2008

CSP was present as a vendor and sponsor at this year's VNUG conference, which took place near Stockholm from Sep 8 -10th, 2008. Some of the key interests raised by delegates included new requirements for audit reporting, CSP's new product offerings in the area of compliance requirements and centralised Identity Management. Special thanks to the VNUG organisation for inviting CSP to participate at this great conference.

Protect Version 4.0 and Auditview Version 8.50 Released
New versions of Protect XP (4.00) and Auditview (8.50) were released last month. These versions support all Safeguard enhancements up to and including H06.12.00 and G06.32.00. Included is support for longer passwords, static failed logon count, last unsuccessful attempt, privileged-logon feature, HMAC256 encryption option , the OSS Administrator Safeguard security group and more. Protect XP 4.00 contains a new module, Guardian file browser, to assist in the management of security for non Safeguard protected files.
Version 4.1 of Protect XP is scheduled to be released this Fall and will support the H06.14 Safeguard changes including the Audit Exclude feature.
LDAP Compliant User Identity Management for NonStop Servers
CSP is pleased to announce a new security solution for NonStop servers: CSP NonStop Identity Management System (NIMS). Fully compatible with Protect XP and CSP PassPort, CSP NIMS is a user id management interface for Nonstop servers which is fully compliant with the OPENLDAP standard. As a result, CSP NIMS brings all the benefits of centralized user management to the NonStop server and can be utilized with all LDAP compliant cross platform user management solutions such as Radiant Logic's RadiantOne product and IBM's Tivoli Identity Manager. The first version of CSP NIMS will be released in Q4 of 2008.
Protect XP Training Class
CSP is holding a 3 day Protect XP training class at its headquarters in Mississauga, Canada on Nov 24, 2008. The objective of the course is to allow end-users to become familiar with some of the more sophisticated ways in which the product can be used. Previous students have given rave reviews about increased knowledge and productivity as a result of attending the course.
