Identity Management for NonStop Systems (NIMS)

The NonStop Identity Management Server brings the benefits of LDAP based Enterprise Identity Management to the HP NonStop platform.
Identity management is the ability to manage user credentials and system access across the IT infrastructure. This is normally accomplished by managing the full life cycle of user activity from a central directory. With CSP NIMS, HP NonStop servers can now be part of the corporate identity management system.
NIMS allows the administrators to easily add, alter and delete user attributes. Whether it is a single or multiple user attributes, both can be done at the same time. The product supports multiple sessions so that many users that exist on multiple HP NonStop Nodes can be managed as one entity. NIMS supports changes in real time or stores adjustments in a script file. The user has the capability to implement changes at their own convenience. 
Identity management with the use of LDAP protocol allows for a central directory to include all user identity information. The benefit to that is removing unnecessary manual tasks and therefore saving time and money. Identity management ensures that users have access to resources needed to complete their jobs and nothing more.
With support for both Safeguard users (through Protect XP) and CSP PassPort Users, CSP NIMS will automatically create audit events when User IDs or their attributes are changed. Therefore complete audit reporting of events is available including export of audit information to other platforms for later analysis. CSP’s Alert-Plus, which is part of the Protect XP suite, also has the capability to create alerts, EMS events or emails based on Audited actions on OSS files and directories.
