CSP NetPass

 

CSP NetPass is an efficient time saving tool that allows Users and/or Administrators to easily manage passwords on many nodes at once within their HP Nonstop Server. Users of CSP NetPass may now change their system password across multiple nodes at the same time. This can be achieved through the GUI or from the command line interface. Group managers who have the GUI installed, may change any password for any of their group members across multiple systems. The SUPER.SUPER user ID (or Alias to SUPER.SUPER) can change anyone's password if the GUI is installed.

CSP NetPass can operate with or without Safeguard installed. If installed, CSP NetPass will use the Safeguard interface to change passwords. Installing CSP NetPass is very simple, as it only requires replacing the PASSWORD utility on most systems.

The CSP NetPass GUI allows browsing of the network for User or Alias IDs. Changing your password in 'broadcast' mode saves valuable time. Upon completion, CSP NetPass displays a report with successful and unsuccessful changes on a per node basis.

CSP NetPass allows you to control the following password quality setting options:

- Minimum Length.
- Number of alphabetic, numeric, and special characters.
- Maximum number of times a character can be duplicated and if a duplicate character can appear consecutively.
- Deny passwords that equal the user’s logon name, or part of their logon name.
- Check password against a dictionary of common words and names.
- Check for matching strings.
