CSP Client Shield
CSP Client Shield provides SSL/TLS encryption capabilities to any Client/Server middleware protocol without any changes to the under-lying components. It can also be used to encrypt the Telnet data stream between any standard TN6530 emulator and the NonStop® TELSERV process.
CSP Client Shield takes advantage of the most widely used and accepted security protocol. Client/Server or Telnet connections are secured via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) now standardized by the IETF as Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Both SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 are supported, along with strong ciphers such as 168 bit 3DES or 256 bit AES. Using a double-proxy approach, CSP Client Shield can encrypt TCP sessions without any changes to the underlying components. Furthermore, it's native SSL implementation on GUARDIAN guarantees optimal performance.
CSP Client Shield also supports OSS.
Client / Server Middleware
CSP Client Shield can encrypt any middle-ware protocol using static TCP ports on the NonStop® system, including:
- Telnet with terminal emulators such as OutsideView® or CAIL ®
- Piccolo® from Cornerstone
- RSC® from Hewlett-Packard
- Server Object Gateway from TIC Software
- Standard TN6530 emulators
The figure below shows how CSP Client Shield works with RSC as a sample protocol.
